What’s on Pete’s plate?
Pete’s all-time favourite recipe is his wife’s roasted rosemary turkey.
Pete has been farming for just over 20 years and has seen big changes to the industry throughout those years. His family’s farm is not exclusive to turkeys, as he, his wife Kim, and father Chris, also manage the production of chickens and table eggs.
Some of the biggest changes he has noticed include the implementation of food safety programs that help to ensure consumers receive the highest quality products. As well, further processed products have opened up the markets for producers and created new and exciting ways of eating turkey for consumers.
Pete believes that the success of his farm comes from careful planning, diligent execution and a dedicated, hard-working team. “We take the most pride in our final product, knowing it was produced with the best possible care and that it will end up on dinner tables across the province, feeding families just like ours.”
